Following the success of New Zealand’s only offshore radio station, Radio Hauraki, in the late 1960’s a number of other businessmen announced plans to launch further stations.
One of these announcements proposed something more than just another offshore radio station - an offshore television station was said to be coming on air.
However, the plan seemed to have little substance and nothing further was heard after the backer’s initial announcement.
