Transmitter

10kW RCA  BTA-10J1 transmitter (formerly used by Radio 270).

Aerial

A unique circular loop aerial, suspended from a central  vertical mast 67’ (20.5m) diameter and hanging about 20' (6.1m) over each side of the ship. The overhanging segments were hinged so that they could be stored within the overall width of the King David.
